I think if you’re watching medical dramas, you’re thinking about junior doctors. But in general, there seem to be too many doctors in Korea because it’s such a respected profession that there are more doctors than there is a need (at least for the doctors to be paid well).
Doctors frequently open up their own practices and clinics but go bankrupt because competition is so fierce. Unlike some other countries, Korean medical services are almost entirely privately run (if you also count the university hospitals) which means doctors can easily go bust if they’re not exceptionally good at their job.
Well, Krystal got in SM aged 11 (and that’s only officially, since she started being involved with them from the age of 6 or 7) and Dani recently got in CCM aged 13 so… I guess there really is no age limit as much as there is a talent limit.
